Some more on Alpha. Yeah the "I wish I looked normal" is cliche, but it works for me. It works for the story. I was going for the wretch from the original Frankenstein. Not necessary the desire to be beautiful, but the desire to be loved.
Alpha as a character is so much of everything you shouldn't do with a female character. I embraced it when I designed and wrote the character because...
Before Alpha on my other comic was Starla from Planet Closest to Heaven. Oh I was so careful following all those tips on writing a well rounded female character. I ended up hating the character and every scene took super long to make cause I hated drawing and writing her. I'm fine now with making a character that doesn't cover all good character attributes.
Oh and Saturno totally missed the point she was trying to make. I wanted him to say something that doesn't really cheer her up. Other dialogue ideas I had were:
"Well your face looks normal compared to everything else."
"That's the only part of you that doesn't look alien."
Rereading the page, Saturno actually sounds kinda nice there. But still Alpha doesn't care about strength like Saturno does.

I appreciate your deep and intense care to really think about these character's attitudes, personalities and mindsets. It's not something many writers really take the time to sit down and do. It's honestly something I'm still really learning how to teach myself.
Kudos to you for finding your niche. Just because the well-rounded female character ideal is out there, it doesn't mean you have to follow it. I personally believe that just like male characters, females don't have to follow a guideline because it's expected or natural. Females are just as unpredictable as males, and our writing should reflect that.

Honestly, I gave up trying to make a strong female character a long time ago and just went with making characters however I wanted regardless of their gender. I wrote what came to me. Now, I find my writing better than ever for it. That and I realised that you can't please everyone and that's ok. That doesn't mean you're doing it wrong. It just means we've got different tastes.
